Why do the training?
To know how to involve other people in the realisation of the common objective. To know how to do it with respect and at the same time build supportive relations and, most importantly, how to do it effectively. To achieve better results and to have greater satisfaction from management.
Who is the training for?
Managers who possess theoretical background and who want to expand it with the knowledge of sociology, psychology and functioning of the systems. This workshop is dedicated for those who would like to improve the quality of their actions. It is also for those of us who are interested which laws and rules support the functioning of people within professional and social groups.
If you are convinced that:
- without you, nobody will do their job well
- it is better if you do something instead of someone because it is going to be done faster and better this way
- without a pay rise no one can be motivated
- people should be controlled and hastened while working
- you are sensing resistance and lack of support in your team
- you get home drained of energy and leave it with a feeling of apprehension
... and if you would like to look at it from a different perspective - we would like to invite you to the "From Management to Leadership" workshop.
What will do we do at ACT?
We will begin by setting out group objectives to be realised throughout the course. We will learn about different techniques to do with team building while using the knowledge of the group process and the phases of team development. We will look at "what" and "in what way" is being said by an effective leader, i.e. communicating the message while being a leader and modelling effective communication within a team. We will find out about various management styles (which style is best for which task, or phase of the team development, or the personality of the co-workers) and grasp the basics of group coaching. In order to make better use of all this knowledge later on, we will also concentrate on delegating (how to do it, what and whom to delegate different tasks to and how to check the results).
How will we do it?
The workshop will take us from management to leadership by means of:
- learning about and applying the rule of the group dynamics
- leading the team through the phases of development described by Tuckman
- collecting and making use of feedback in a respectful and safe for us manner
- systemic thinking and acting, while finding among examples of team behaviour those which, with minimal effort applied, are going to bring about the greatest results (Adair's model)
- thorough analysis of the benefits of such models as: SMART, KWOKA, or GROW, while looking at specific examples.
