Methodology

The language training sessions at ACT are run according to the Goal-Oriented Communicative Approach (GOCA), which is based on the essence of the communicative approach methodology that additionally focuses strongly on achieving specific practical business-related or social objectives.

The Goal-Oriented Communicative Approach means that we focus on developing those communicative skills that were carefully selected by the course participants because of their importance for their professional role. Therefore, the choice of vocabulary or structures included in each course is the result of the communicative objectives of the participant(s). During lessons, our teachers engage the participants in a series of real-life situations (by means of such exercise types as role-plays, case-studies, games or discussions), which encourage the students to apply newly learnt skills or language items in order to complete a particular task.

Academic support

The running of each language course is supervised by our team of experienced academic managers and senior teachers who are responsible for conducting needs analysis, specifying training objectives, methodological support for teachers, monitoring the quality of courses and reporting results of training programmes to the clients.
