Work-Life Balance

Work-Life Balance - the balance between your personal and professional life.

  • Why do the training?

The title of the training, which was created in the USA by a group of sociologists and psychologists, can be a bit confusing for some of us. If we wanted to expalin its meaning in a literal way, we could state the following: there is work and there is life and they are placed on two ends of a scale which we use for measuring whether both areas are in balance or not. What is interesting, though, is the fact that the 4-step process of building the internal balance among personal, family and professional development, indicates to quite an opposite statement - that work is as much a part of our life as our family, our satisafaction with ourselves, with what we do, and what surrounds us.

It often happens in the times of the economic crisis or prosperity that the things which are extremely urgent overcast the things which are extremely important. The heightened expectations of our employers, the rivalry, the competition - all these factors make us forget about the source of our strength and energy - sometimes we even happen to forget what is the purpose of our work.

The Work-Life Balance training session will remind you about your dreams, it will help you re-discover what is important for you and what is the most important in your life. It will help them look for satisfying solutions in a creative way. This training will also teach the participants to plan, act and not to give up while feeling fullfilment and self-respect and at the same time bearing in mind what is important for each of them.

  • Who is the training for?

If you go to work unwillingly, or you keep asking yourself "why am I doing all this?". If you get back home feeling tired and lacking satisfaction from what you did. If you have not congratulated yourself on anything great you have done within the last couple of days. If you want to take a break and look after yourself and those who are dearest to you - this training is for you.

  • What do we do at ACT?

The aim of this training is to gain the right, i.e. the most useful, perspective from which we can look at our life and the things in which we invest our most precious resource: our time. The workshop focuses on your inner integrity and thus it aims to give you the tools that form and develop it. It helps you to find ways to maintain the physical, emotional and social balance.

  • How do we do it?

During the workshop you will take a trip to the land of your values and plan what is really important for you, while not so urgent, and work on maintaining it in balance with those things which are the most urgent. We will use such tools as:

  • The Wheel of Life
  • The Harmony: begin with the things you do not want and move on to those which you want/ what don't I want the most in my life? - what do I want instead?
